Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a highly motivated student intern in San Diego to contribute to aerospace/mechanical engineering projects over a 10-week summer program. You will work under guidance, apply STEM knowledge, and develop hands-on experience in a dynamic defense environment.

The role requires full-time availability for summer 2027, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance. Relocation assistance may be available and travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree and graduating after August 2027.
• Major in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
