Overview

The Pharmacy Product Strategy & Development team provides leadership and strategic direction to support the development of new solutions tied to the Express Scripts Home Delivery Pharmacies. This includes identifying client needs across multiple lines of business (commercial, health plan, Cigna, Medicare), developing concepts, creating & evaluating business cases, and designing new solutions. This team operates in a fast-paced environment with significant opportunities to collaborate with multiple functions and businesses within Express Scripts and Evernorth.

Job Description

The Product Strategy Senior Advisor will have the opportunity to independently drive product initiatives that grow profitable volume and enhance the customer and client experience with Express Scripts Pharmacies. Responsibilities include identifying new solutions, evaluating feasibility, developing business cases, and supporting all aspects of product development such as market assessment, pricing, business and technology requirements, benefit/plan design, care management, and product positioning.

Essential Functions

1. Research market trends, identify customer demands, define unmet needs & jobs-to-be-done, and analyze customer feedback.
2. Partner with other product teams across Evernorth to build coordinated solutions, working cross-functionally to explore and enable new product concepts.
3. Scope, size, and create business cases by articulating strategy, identifying monetization levers, sizing opportunities, and analyzing feasibility.
4. Leverage reporting tools to analyze formularies, drug lists, clinical data, and financial models.
5. Analyze claims utilization, volume, margin, trends, market share, patient behavior, benchmarking, and KPIs.
6. Translate data into insights, identify solution needs, design product features, and create prototypes.
7. Create visualizations of insights using graphs, charts, and reporting tools.
8. Manage initiatives to ensure milestones are met and solutions are delivered on schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in healthcare/PBM industry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• Experience in supply chain and regulated markets (Medicare/Medicaid) is a plus.
• Understanding of PBM technology systems is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without authority.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and drive value.
• Comfort in ambiguous situations, structured problem-solving approach.
