Job summary

Third Wave Systems, Inc. seeks a Director of Product to shape and execute product strategy across a portfolio of advanced desktop manufacturing modeling software. You will partner with leadership to drive vision, governance, and cross-functional alignment, delivering measurable outcomes for the product portfolio.

You will lead a small but diverse team, own the product lifecycle end-to-end, and inform pricing, packaging, and go-to-market decisions to drive revenue and customer value.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product management, including at least 3 years leading a product team.
• Comfort operating across altitudes in a small-company environment, with strategy and backlog work.
• Demonstrated ability to operate across executive, technical, and customer audiences.
• Proven track record of leading through influence, building cross-functional alignment, and delivering measurable results in a B2B or technical software environment.
• Experience contributing to pricing, packaging, or go-to-market decisions in a B2B or technical software environment.
• Deep familiarity with Agile and Lean product development methodologies, with adaptability to fit organizational needs.
• Experience working alongside software development and UX teams in a product organization where technical feasibility shapes strategy.
• Background in advanced manufacturing, simulation, or industrial software is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company priorities and customer needs.
• Collaborate with leadership to keep product and development teams cohesive and deliver high-quality results.
• Lead end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery to release and continuous improvement.
• Establish governance and documentation to ensure continuity and knowledge sharing.
• Synthesize input from Sales, Customer Success, and Services into a shared view of customer needs for strategy and roadmap.
• Mentor a cross-disciplinary team and assess fit against role expectations and values.
