Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an Associate Product Manager to help execute the strategy of the product umbrella. Under general supervision, you will work with the Lead Product Manager and Product Executive to steward the product lifecycle, define target client segments, assess industry trends, and support launches and post-launch reviews.

Maintain materials and inventory, and contribute to risk analyses for new product introductions.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with clients, partners and leaders across disciplines.
• Ability to manage programs/projects and governance.
• Understanding of business strategy and long-term planning.
• Experience gathering requirements and defining product roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Support discovery and innovation by creating client personas and evaluating competitors.
• Assist in new product planning with forecasts, requirements and future metrics.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Support new product introductions with risk analyses.
• Track customer satisfaction and KPIs; conduct post-launch audits.
• Provide sales support through RFP responses and reviews.
• Monitor expenses and ensure rate card alignment across regions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior staff.
• Manage User Story lifecycle from creation to delivery, including testing.
• Lead sprint/PI ceremonies and ensure quality delivery.
