Northern Trust Corp in Chicago is seeking an Associate Product Manager to help execute the product strategy across the umbrella. You will work with the Lead Product Manager and Product Executive on lifecycle activities, defining target client segments, evaluating trends, and supporting launches and post-launch assessments.

This role includes maintaining product materials, supporting new product introductions with risk analyses, and providing sales support for RFPs and client pitches.

Qualifications

  • College or University degree or relevant proven work experience required.
  • SAFe PO certification preferred.
  • Experience with product management lifecycle and leading team sprint/PI ceremonies.

  • Assist in new product planning by deriving forecasts, composing product requirements and establishing future metrics.
  • Manage User Story through full lifecycle from creation to value delivery.

  • Provide sales support through RFP responses and reviews.
  • Monitor capital, expenses and rate card alignment across regions.
  • Maintain product materials, inventory and key metrics.
  • Track customer satisfaction and KPIs; post-launch audits.
  • Partner with Support team as SME on recently released functionality.

**Job Title:** Associate Product Manager **Job Description Summary:** Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for helping execute the strategy of the product umbrella as outlined by the Lead Product Manager, Head of Product Management and Product Executive for the umbrella. Responsible for Product Management Lifecycle activities in partnership with the Senior Product Manager such as helping define the target client segment market and evaluating industry trends and uncovering opportunities, perform launches and post launch assessments/ recommendations. The Associate Product Manager will also be responsible for performing regular maintenance of product materials, maintaining product inventory and key metrics Support new product introduction by creating the risk analysis. Provide sales support through client/ prospect pitches and RFP response and review. **Major Duties:** * Support discovery and innovation by creating client personas and evaluating competitors* Assist in new product planning activities by deriving forecasts, composing product requirements and establishing future metrics* Display a balanced, cross- functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity* Support new product introduction by creating the risk analysis* Track customer satisfaction, evaluate metrics and KPIs, gauge channel performance, conduct post product launch audits* Provide sales support through RFP response and review* Monitor capital and expenses and rate card alignment across regions* Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact* Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees* Manages User Story through full lifecycle, from creation to value delivery. Requirements gathering, story mapping, story creation, acceptance testing, and delivery.* Leads and Facilitates Team Sprint/PI Activities, including ceremonies.* Ensures Quality and Experience Standards through evaluation and management of sprint and PI delivery metrics.* Partners with Support team as a SME regarding recently released functionality. **Knowledge:** * Good oral and written communication skills are required. Experienced in constructing/ overseeing logical and conclusive presentations.* Understanding or knowledge of 2-3+ NT products or business areas within an umbrella, mastery of 1+ product and an understanding of client needs and how this impacts the product development agenda/roadmap.* Good in building key relationships, influencing and negotiating with clients, partners and leaders across multiple disciplines.* Organizational skills are required to support the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff.* Program or project management experience is advantageous; planning, analysis, design and governance.* Knowledge of business strategy development is necessary to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability/performance of a major business segment. **Experience:** * A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required.* Related Industry qualification (e.g. ACCA) SAFe PO is preferred.Salary Range:$80,800 - 133,400 USD*Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
