Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Product Sourcing Engineer to support the development and production of advanced hardware products in Costa Mesa, CA or Bellevue, WA. This hands-on role partners with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to move technical components from requirements through sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or related experience.
• Proven experience sourcing technical/engineered hardware, not just indirect spend.
• Strong RFQ/RFP/RFX, supplier negotiation, PO, and contract management.
• Ability to work with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or other engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing activities for PCBAs, electronics, mechanical components, sensors, optics, and other engineered hardware.
• Manage the full sourcing lifecycle, including supplier identification, RFQs/RFPs, quote evaluation, negotiations, contracting/POs, and delivery.
• Partner with engineering teams to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, commercial terms, and supplier agreements.
• Manage supplier performance, schedules, risks, and production issues.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and fast-paced product development efforts.
• Create structure and drive execution when requirements or processes are evolving.

Rate Range: $80/hour to $90/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

We're seeking an experienced Product Sourcing Engineer to support the development and production of advanced hardware products. This is a hands-on sourcing role working closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to move technical components from initial requirements through sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and delivery.

What You'll Do

• Own sourcing activities for PCBAs, electronics, mechanical components, sensors, optics, and other engineered hardware
• Manage the full sourcing lifecycle, including supplier identification, RFQs/RFPs, quote evaluation, negotiations, contracting/POs, and delivery
• Partner directly with engineering teams to translate technical requirements into sourcing strategies
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, commercial terms, and supplier agreements
• Manage supplier performance, schedules, risks, and production issues
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and fast-paced product development efforts
• Create structure and drive execution when requirements or processes are still evolving

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or related experience
• Proven experience sourcing technical/engineered hardware, rather than primarily indirect spend
• Strong RFQ/RFP/RFX, supplier negotiation, PO, and contract management experience
• Ability to work effectively with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or other engineering teams
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
• Experience with CAD drawings, Teamcenter/PLM systems, aerospace/defense, or NPI is a plus, but not required

Ideal backgrounds may include: Sourcing Engineer, Technical Sourcing Manager, Strategic Sourcing Manager, Commodity Manager, Senior Buyer, Buyer, or Supply Chain Manager.
