Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer, Counter Intrusion, to join our client’s team in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role focuses on drive sourcing strategy, supplier collaboration, and value engineering in a complex product development environment.

You will work with engineering, quality, and manufacturing partners to improve cost, lead time, and component readiness across NPI efforts. Remote work is possible with some onsite travel.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering or supplier development.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field is required.
• Expertise in value engineering, procurement engineering, or TCO at the component and product level.
• Willingness to travel 30% - 40% based on program needs.
• Preference for onsite work, with remote work in Texas as an option.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection using the approved supplier list.
• Partner with suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping and feature trade-offs.
• Drive development of the manufacturing BOM in collaboration with Quality and Manufacturing.
• Manage CAPEX throughout New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time.
• Complete BOM risk assessments and ensure component qualifications.
• Lead cost engineering activities to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).

This role will help drive sourcing strategy and supplier collaboration for a complex product development environment. You will work closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing partners to improve cost, lead time, and component readiness across new product introduction efforts. The position blends supplier development, value engineering, and manufacturing planning to support efficient execution and strong total cost outcomes.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $126,000 – $167,000 annually
