Opmed is an AI-powered scheduling and operations platform for healthcare organizations. We help hospitals and health systems cut waste, reduce delays and unlock capacity in the OR, procedural areas, rehab and staffing, by combining predictive models, optimization and real-world workflow design.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with your assigned clients to understand their operational challenges and translate their needs into clear, actionable solutions for our Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) to implement. You will bring strong product thinking and a deep understanding of Opmed’s product and technology portfolio to identify how existing capabilities can be configured, combined, or extended to address client needs. Working hand in hand with FDEs, you will bridge the gap between client needs and technical implementation, ensuring solutions are practical, effective, and deliver measurable value faster.

This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the VP of Solutions with a professional alignment to the Product Organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing discovery during pre-sales and implementation, working closely with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to understand their challenges, pain points, map existing workflows, identify underlying needs, and define desired outcomes.
• Translate the client’s operational needs into a tailored solution, identifying which existing Opmed capabilities can be used, configured, or extended, and where additional development is required.
• Define clear functional requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria for each client solution, providing Forward Deployed Engineers with the direction and context needed for implementation.
• Work hand in hand with FDEs throughout development and implementation, clarifying requirements, resolving ambiguities, making functional decisions, and adjusting scope to meet client needs and delivery constraints.
• Engage directly with clients throughout the engagement, leading tailored solution demonstrations, contributing to proposals and scope definitions, and supporting user acceptance testing, go-live, and adoption.
• Collaborate closely with Forward Deployed Strategists (FDSs), Product, R&D, and delivery teams, including Customer Success, to align on client needs, solution scope, technical feasibility, and delivery priorities.
• Identify recurring client needs, opportunities to reuse existing capabilities, and gaps in Opmed’s portfolio, sharing insights and recommendations with the Product team to support future product and platform evolution.
• Contribute to our teams knowledge and tools - develop frameworks, AI skills and capabilities to automate parts of the discovery and solutioning process, become domain expert on clinics and departments workflows

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in technical product management, product solutions, or similar roles, with hands-on experience defining and delivering tailored software solutions for enterprise clients.
• Strong product thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex operational challenges, identify underlying needs, and translate them into practical, actionable client-specific solutions.
• Ability to tailor solutions to client needs by leveraging existing platforms and technological capabilities, balancing solution complexity and business value when deciding between configuration, extension, and new development.
• Experience defining and delivering different types of software solutions, such as web applications, data pipelines, and AI-powered workflows or agents, with an understanding of when each approach is appropriate.
• Strong technical understanding of software systems, data flows, integrations, APIs, and AI/ML technologies, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams.
• Experience translating business and user needs into clear functional specifications, workflows, and acceptance criteria that guide technical implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse client stakeholders, lead discovery discussions, present solutions, and communicate effectively with technical teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic client‑facing environment, manage ambiguity, and balance client expectations with technical and delivery constraints.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Advantage: Experience in healthcare technology, particularly hospital operations, clinical workflows, scheduling, resource optimization, or healthcare IT systems such as Epic.
