Job summary

Northwood is a modern space infrastructure company delivering secure communications for satellite missions. We seek aSenior Product Security Lead toown security across the lifecycle, shaping architecture, threat modeling, and vulnerability management for government and commercial customers.

You will drive secure coding standards, training, and cross‑functional security governance. You will collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to ensure FedRAMP/NIST 800-171 aligned security,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product security or security engineering with leadership experience.
• Hands-on in SAST/DAST tooling, CI/CD security, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience conducting or coordinating pentest engagements and remediation validation.
• Strong cryptography knowledge and secure protocol design.
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault and secret management architectures.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-171, CMMC, FedRAMP compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own application security across the full SDLC, from design to production.
• Perform security architecture reviews and threat modeling for new features.
• Establish secure coding standards and developer security training.
• Lead end-to-end vulnerability management and remediation reporting.
• Coordinate penetration testing, scoping, findings, and validation.
• Build and maintain container security scanning and SCA pipelines.
• Integrate security validation into CI/CD and manage secrets infrastructure.
• Review and harden IaC, GitOps, and deployment automation for security.
