Job summary

MBDA is seeking a Product Security Engineer within the Security Engineering Department. The role focuses on designing robust technical security solutions across hardware, firmware and software, ensuring confidentiality and integrity through manufacturing and life-cycle support.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering skills with a background in Systems Engineering.
• Experience in electronics design and/or embedded software or firmware design is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Task package management of activities spanning across the Engineering Directorate to design and deliver a comprehensive technical security solution within budget and timescale.
• Managing the trade-space to maximise protective measures without compromising product safety or customer capability.
• Preparing and maintaining a robust security case and coordinating with the UK Customer and its technical advisors.
• Undertaking systems design and technical leadership across hardware, firmware, and software to demonstrate security solution effectiveness.
• Liaising with manufacturing and support teams to ensure confidentiality and integrity of the missile/weapon system through manufacture and through-life support.
• Ensuring Need to Know principles are adhered to and controls on information release to suppliers/customers.
