Job summary

Draeger Medical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to work in a hybrid role in Andover, MA.

You will partner with systems, software, and test teams to embed security across the product lifecycle and drive cyber resilience for medical devices and connected health software. The role emphasizes threat modeling, risk assessments, secure design, vulnerability management, and regulatory submissions with collaboration across functions to improve security posture.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of experience in product security or security engineering in a product development environment.
• Experience with threat modeling, cybersecurity risk assessment, secure design, vulnerability analysis, and security testing.
• Working knowledge of embedded, Linux, Windows, real-time, or network-connected systems and security principles.
• Understanding of secure development lifecycle and security-by-design practices.
• Ability to communicate technical risks clearly and support multiple cross-functional assignments.

Responsibilities

• Implement security requirements across the medical device development lifecycle with cross-functional teams.
• Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and integrate cybersecurity with product safety risk management.
• Support secure device design with secure boot, secure communications, data protection, and update mechanisms.
• Plan and review cybersecurity testing including vulnerability scanning and pen testing; drive remediation.
• Maintain SBOMs, assess vulnerabilities, and support disclosed vulnerability processes.
• Prepare cybersecurity documentation for regulatory submissions (FDA, etc.).
• Serve as technical SME and collaborate with engineering, regulatory, service, and management teams.
