Job summary

Geotab in Atlanta seeks a Product Security Specialist to evaluate security, trace vulnerabilities in source code, and write automation scripts to improve scanning. You will partner with development, security operations and stakeholders to embed secure-by-design practices across the product lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in security evaluation or code reviews, strong programming know-how, and experience with scanners like Veracode or Fortify.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in security evaluation/analysis or relevant development work.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with source code, dynamic and dependency scanners (e.g., Veracode, Fortify, Sentinel, OWASP Dependency, NetSparker, Qualys).
• Knowledge of C, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript; web services (XML, JSON, SOAP, REST).
• Linux, Windows, GCE, Bash, Python; quick to learn new languages; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform security evaluations, trace source code for vulnerabilities, and simulate attacks.
• Write scripts to increase scanning automation and integrate scanners with CI pipelines.
• Explain risk assessments to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop secure coding standards and contribute to secure architecture design.
• Produce vulnerability assessments and threat modeling to improve security posture.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security-by-design throughout the product lifecycle.
