Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Product Security Engineer for Starlink to influence security across software products and systems. The role requires broad security design knowledge, cryptographic primitives, and experience shipping reliable software.

You will collaborate across teams to implement cryptographic services and secure operating environments for satellites and ground systems. You will design security into factory processes, prototype improvements, and help ensure robust, secure internet access

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS or STEM field.
• Experience shipping secure software across product lines.
• Knowledge of cryptographic primitives and security design.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services.
• Develop security features for Starlink systems (router, dish, gateways, satellites).
• Incorporate security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
• Maintain production systems and improve security posture through implementation and guidance.
• Prototype, identify, design, and test security improvements.
• Advance mission of secure and reliable Internet access for underserved communities.
