Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to join our RISC Legal team. This role focuses on safety and regulatory compliance, advising senior leaders and cross-functional partners to manage regulatory risk across Amazon's Stores.

You will engage with federal and state regulators, help shape proactive safety and compliance programs, and play a key role in responding to product safety and regulatory inquiries.

Qualifications

• Post-bar legal experience required.
• JD and active bar membership in at least one state.
• Experience advising senior business stakeholders.
• Experience in technology, retail, logistics, or e-commerce sectors.
• Proven ability to manage complex commercial transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel to senior business leaders on a broad range of legal and business matters.
• Identify, assess, and manage legal risks across multiple business lines and jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement legal strategies that support business objectives while mitigating risk.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and emerging legal issues.
• Draft and negotiate complex, commercial agreements.
• Lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders at all levels.
• Contribute to the development of legal policies, processes, and best practices.
