Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection is seeking a Data Entry Intern in Greensboro, NC. The role supports populating the SharePoint knowledge base, curating data with scientists, and organizing data across systems while using digital tools and AI for Product Safety initiatives.

As part of the Emerging Talent Program, you gain hands-on experience and apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges during May 2027 - August 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
• Experience programming in VB, SQL, R, and Python.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Comfort collaborating with scientists and using data tools.

Syngenta'sProduct Safety Team is currently seeking a Data Entry Intern in Greensboro, NC. This internship role will support our knowledge management initiative by populating our SharePoint site with key technical information. In addition, there will be opportunities to work with our scientists to curate data and use digital tools in support of technical activities.

As part of Syngenta's Emerging Talent Program, you will gain hands-on experience, exposure to day-to-day business operations, and opportunities to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges while developing your professional skills.

Estimated Duration: May 2027 - August 2027

Accountabilities:

• Support the development of our SharePoint site, which will act as the Product Safety knowledge base.
• Work alongside scientists to curate data for use in key Product Safety projects and initiatives.
• Populate information into systems utilizing various tools to support data organization and collation.
• Leverage digital tools and AI to support Product Safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in IT or related degree (Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Services).
  • Other degree programs are welcome, such as Business Administration.
• Experience in computer programming languages, such as Visual Basic, SQL, R, and Python.
• An enthusiasm for exploring projects and responsibilities outside of your area of study.
• A level of comfort required to collaborate and ask questions whenever needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
• Aptitude with electronic word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation systems, as well as comfort using electronic systems and databases.

Additional Information

Salary for this position ranges between $20 - $45 hourly.
