Job summary

Pathstream seeks a Product Researcher to uncover insights that shape our product and business strategy. You will partner with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to ground decisions in real user behavior.

You’ll build and maintain an advisor network, run diverse studies (landscape scans, usability tests), and organize research so findings are accessible for product and curriculum decisions. Remote-first, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in research, data or insights roles such as consulting, venture or impact investing, user research, or similar work involving a portfolio of varied responsibilities
• Experience operating in a startup or small team with ownership mindset and co-creation of project requirements
• Experience synthesizing research into actionable insights and translating user data to decisions
• Experience with research operations and tooling (repositories, survey platforms, transcription/tagging tools)
• Bonus: knowledge of financial services, frontline workers, or AI tools relevant to product research and design

Responsibilities

• Build knowledge about market and users across disciplines
• Maintain pipeline of subject matter expert advisors and run diverse studies
• Ground feature decisions in real user behavior and validate post-release
• Support curriculum priorities by translating findings into actionable requirements
• Collaborate with GTM teams to surface client needs and pain points
• Design and optimize research processes and operations
