Job summary

APPLE INC is seeking a Quality Engineer to identify and drive improvements across product and manufacturing processes in Cupertino, CA.

Role focuses on developing Product Quality Plans, engaging with cross-functional teams and OEM partners, and resolving quality incidents through data-driven analysis and corrective actions. International travel may be required, and base pay is part of a broader compensation package.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or related field.
Experience with SPC, DOE, and FMEA to improve reliability.
Drive process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
Use DMAIC to optimize manufacturing workflows.
Assist in training production staff on new processes and equipment.
Lead NPI engagements with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

Identify and drive quality improvements on Apple products and manufacturing processes.
Develop Product Quality Plans to substantiate quality at development and production stages.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, OEM partners, and manufacturing sites on quality issues.
Conduct reliability tests and analyze field quality data to address incidents.
Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Sustain product quality with AppleCare and engineering teams.
Present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
