Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California seeks a senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer to lead quality improvements across product development and production, develop Product Quality Plans, conduct reliability tests, and analyze field data to prevent incidents. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing sites, and OEM partners to ensure sustained product quality.

A Master’s degree is required, with hands-on experience in SPC, DOE, FMEA and DMAIC. International travel is expected.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or related field.
Experience with Statistical Process Controls in manufacturing.
Experience in Design of Experiments to optimize problems.
Experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis to assess reliability.
Ability to drive process improvements and reduce waste.
Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and SOP documentation.

Responsibilities

Identify and drive quality improvements across development and production.
Develop Product Quality Plans to substantiate quality at each development phase.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and OEM partners on quality.
Lead failure analysis to determine root causes and mitigations.
Sustain product quality throughout lifecycle with AppleCare and engineering teams.
