Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical or quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with various measuring tools and engineering drawings.
  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Job description

2nd shift


Essential Functions:

Work with engineering, and production personnel to:

1. Create & maintain specification inspection documents for new and existing products.
2. Develop and document new procedures as needed.
3. Audit and train operations personnel for quality procedures.
4. Inspect finished goods at individual machines to make sure they meet product and packaging written


Responsibilities:

  • Work with department supervisor, leads and machine operator to resolve quality any issues.
  • Create a schedule to work with all three shifts on quality inspection and any quality issues.
  • Investigate any customer issues by tracking history of production, identifying problems and formulating procedures to assure future customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate, develop, and recommend process and procedural changes to manager and engineering to improve overall quality and scrap.
  • Review inspection data to confirm acceptability of product and packaging.
  • Work with production supervision and leads for sorting and correction of defective conditions.
  • Maintain safety awareness and compliance with plant safety regulations.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.

Job Specifications:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical/mathematical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with and/or without close supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and requirements.

Experience:

  • 3 or more years technical and/or quality experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Must be familiar with all types of measuring tools consisting of but not limited to: Micrometer, Caliper, Go/ No Go Gauge, Point Micrometer, Tape measure, Machinist rule.
  • Must be able to read an engineering drawing and document.
  • Must have computer proficiency and be able to use the following software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Teams

Education: BS Degree preferred


Work Conditions: Works from a normal office setting, however, performs a significant amount of work on the plant floor.
