An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure product excellence through rigorous inspection and process improvement. 2nd shift Essential Functions: Work with engineering, and production personnel to:
Responsibilities: Collaborate with department supervisors, leads, and machine operators to resolve quality issues. Create a schedule to coordinate quality inspections across all three shifts. Investigate customer complaints by reviewing production history, identifying issues, and developing procedures to enhance customer satisfaction. Evaluate and recommend process improvements to management and engineering to boost quality and reduce scrap. Review inspection data for product and packaging acceptability. Work with production supervision and leads to sort and correct defective items. Maintain safety awareness and comply with plant safety regulations. Follow all organizational policies and procedures.
Job Specifications: Strong organizational and project management skills; strong analytical and mathematical skills; effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience: At least 3 years of technical or quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with measuring tools (e.g., micrometer, caliper, go/no-go gauge, machinist's rule). Ability to read engineering drawings and documentation. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Education: BS Degree preferred.
Work Conditions: Primarily office work with significant time on the plant floor.
