Job summary

Mainspring Energy, Inc. is seeking a driven Product Qualification Test Engineer to join our test engineering team at the Menlo Park HQ. You will operate Linear Generator units and collaborate across thermodynamics, mechanical, electrical, software, and controls disciplines.

Responsibilities include qualifying units for customer sites, developing scalable testing processes, and generating data reports to drive improvements. This role is onsite in Menlo Park with stock options and benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of applicable experience in experimental hardware or product qualification.
• Experience in project management.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on testing of Linear Generator units.
• Qualify cores and shipped units at the Menlo Park facility.
• Develop and scale testing processes and infrastructure for qualification tests.
• Analyze data reports and collaborate with engineering teams to identify issues and root causes.
• Assist in developing automation to scale qualification testing in manufacturing.
