Job summary

Ignite Reading seeks a Senior Manager to lead the Analytics in a mission-driven, virtual team driving curriculum and product insights. You will manage three analytics professionals, shape measurement strategies against benchmarks, and advance experimentation and AI-driven workflows at scale.

You will collaborate with Product and Academics, align analytics with organizational goals, and communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders while mentoring peers for growth and impact.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years analytics and data science in ed-tech or tech, with 2–4+ years as a senior manager.
• Proven track record managing analysts and data scientists, with a growth mindset.
• Strong SQL & Python; BI tools like Tableau; familiarity with DBT and modern cloud data warehouses.
• Strong quantitative foundation: statistical modeling and experimental design.
• Hands-on experience building agentic workflows and LLM-based automations (Claude Code / Claude Cowork).
• Experience with Agile/sprint methodologies in analytics.
• Exceptional communicator who translates complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Self-starter in fast-growth environments and capable of juggling multiple workflows.
• Highly passionate about teaching kids to read.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three: a staff data scientist and two analysts.
• Provide technical guidance on high-stakes analytics projects and ensure the team has needed tools and context.
• Invest in AI fluency and tool adoption to accelerate workflows.
• Own program analytics measuring curriculum performance and student success against benchmarks.
• Own product analytics across Ignite Reading’s platform to inform strategy.
• Help develop the company’s experimentation platform and best practices.
• Handle high-priority ad-hoc analyses end-to-end.
• Own sprint management and cross-functional stakeholder partnerships.
