Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority in Arlington, VA, seeks a Product Owner for Web Applications to coordinate with stakeholders, align business processes with modern software development practices, and manage backlogs. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or related, or foreign equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Product Owner for Cloud Web Applications.
• Certifications: SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) and Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).

• Ensure alignment of business processes, requirements, and user scenarios with modern software development practices.

Job Title: Product Owner - Web Applications

Salary: $178,214.00

Job Location: 2733 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA 22202

The Product Owner will coordinate with stakeholders to discuss product plans and their impact in support of the Airports Authority, contributing to achieving its goals. This position works under the general supervision of the Advance Capability Manager, MWAA Labs, and serves in the Advanced Capabilities Department in the Office of Technology at the Headquarters Office. The Product Owner collaborates with stakeholders to ensure effective alignment of business processes, requirements, and user scenarios with modern software development practices, coordinates with diverse teams to establish non-functional requirements, refine business rules, manage feature backlogs, and facilitate user acceptance, and proactively addresses technical challenges and risks, ensuring alignment and clarity through effective communication and documentation.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or related, or foreign equivalent: minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Product Owner for Cloud Web Applications.

Certifications: SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification

Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification
