Job summary

Sandalwood Engineering & Ergonomics seeks a Product Owner to own the backlog and roadmap for camera- and sensor-based inspection solutions. You’ll drive alignment with plant quality objectives, translate requirements into user stories, and work with manufacturing, controls, and software teams to deliver scalable digital products.

You will lead agile delivery, set acceptance criteria, and ensure deployments across production lines while championing change and adoption in manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline relevant to automated inspection or manufacturing.
• 4+ years as Product Owner/Technical Product Manager or similar in manufacturing/inspection domains.
• Experience writing user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Ability to align plant quality objectives with digital manufacturing strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the product backlog and roadmap for camera and sensor-based solutions.
• Translate manufacturing needs and quality risks into actionable user stories and increments.
• Collaborate with assembly, stamping, and powertrain teams to define functional specs for defect detection and presence verification.
• Lead or participate in sprint ceremonies and guide engineers and system integrators.
