We are seeking a seasoned Salesforce Product Owner to lead the delivery and ongoing enhancement of Salesforce capabilities across the organization. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions and driving initiatives from discovery and requirements through implementation and production support.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on Product Owner with strong Salesforce platform knowledge, Agile delivery experience, and stakeholder management skills. This person must be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, challenging requirements when appropriate, and providing clear direction to Scrum and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Product Owner for Salesforce, providing day-to-day ownership, prioritization, and direction for platform enhancements and initiatives.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, pain points, processes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into well‑defined features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
- Own and continuously manage the Salesforce product backlog, ensuring work is prioritized based on business value, urgency, dependencies, risk, and technical considerations.
- Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap aligned with business priorities and Salesforce platform strategy.
- Lead backlog refinement and actively participate in sprint planning, daily Scrum activities as needed, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Work closely with Salesforce developers, administrators, architects, QA resources, Scrum Masters, and integration teams to ensure requirements are understood and solutions meet business needs.
- Evaluate business requests against existing Salesforce capabilities and promote the use of standard/out‑of‑the‑box functionality where appropriate before introducing custom solutions.
- Identify cross‑functional dependencies, risks, impacts, and integration requirements and proactively drive them to resolution.
- Partner with QA teams to ensure appropriate test coverage and that delivered functionality meets established acceptance criteria.
- Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders, including test preparation, execution, defect resolution, and business sign‑off.
- Support production releases and assist with the prioritization and resolution of incidents, defects, and production issues.
- Partner with business and technology teams to continuously improve Salesforce processes, user experience, data quality, and platform adoption.
- Develop clear presentations, process flows, requirements documentation, release communications, and other materials to communicate new and enhanced functionality.
- Use data, metrics, and business insights to tell a story, measure outcomes, identify opportunities, and support prioritization decisions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels, including business users, technical teams, and senior leadership.
