Job Summary

The Product Owner is an empowered leader, knowledgeable in the business, responsible for working with stakeholders to understand challenges and develop solutions that meet customer needs. They develop a Product Roadmap and execute it, maintaining both Program and Team backlogs for Agile teams. They collaborate closely with Product Management, Architecture, Business Owners, subject matter experts, Business Analysts, and Agile teams to ensure solutions meet real needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Work with Product Management, Operations, or Technical Leadership to articulate the vision and Roadmap, and build consensus.
2. Identify and deliver features, gather stakeholder feedback, and communicate the roadmap to development teams.
3. Own and manage the backlog of the development team.
4. Coordinate with other Product Owners to resolve dependencies and align priorities.
5. Potentially act as a PO of POs to set overall roadmap and priorities for multiple teams.
6. Work with Technical Leads/Architects to understand technical aspects and plan accordingly.
7. Collaborate with customers and users to anticipate their needs.
8. Create a prioritized Product/Program Backlog with Agile Program Managers and Domain Architects.
9. Break down features into User Stories with Business Analysts and Scrum Teams.
10. Participate in Scrum Events and ensure the team delivers solutions timely.
11. Engage in Program-level Agile Events like PI Planning.
12. Act as a liaison between teams and stakeholders, ensuring visibility and sustainable delivery pace.
13. Assist teams with story completion, troubleshooting, and developing solutions.
14. Establish and govern Product Documentation approaches.
15. Support training for end users and staff.
16. Communicate across disciplines and departments.
17. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
18. Demonstrate commitment to company values.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Agile Product Owner experience with Scrum, Lean, Kanban, or SAFe, plus strong Business Analysis skills.
• Experience developing Product vision and Roadmaps, and communicating with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and requirements gathering practices like BDD.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and re-prioritize as needed.
• Experience working with distributed teams.
• Product Owner certification.
• Experience with SAFe and PI Planning.
• Strong knowledge of Jira & Confluence.
• Healthcare industry knowledge is beneficial.
• Excellent communication, project management, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships and demonstrate customer service excellence.
• Bachelor’s degree or related experience; Product Owner certification preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
