Job summary

TEGNA is seeking a Product Owner to lead the evolution of the Mobile Newsroom Platform on iOS and Android, connecting journalists, editors, and newsroom leaders with stories, media, and AI-powered tools.

You will own the roadmap and backlog, collaborating with Product, Design, Engineering, AI, UX Research, and Editorial to deliver mobile-first experiences that enable faster, smarter news gathering from anywhere.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Product Management or Product Owner experience with demonstrated ownership.
• Experience delivering mobile applications across iOS and Android.
• Strong customer empathy with ability to translate user needs into actions.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term vision for the Mobile Newsroom Platform.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog across cross-functional teams.
• Lead agile planning, sprint planning, and delivery across iOS and Android.
• Partner with Editorial, Design, Engineering, AI, UX Research to align priorities.
• Collaborate with UX Research to measure adoption and impact.
