Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Software Product Owner to join our Software Operations Organization in Los Angeles to shape the Mobile Applications platform as a product. You will balance inputs from stakeholders, define the “What” and the “Why,” and maximize platform value for developers, operators, and customers.

This role emphasizes collaboration across architects, DevOps, and delivery leaders, driving KPI-focused outcomes, and acting as a change agent within a diverse, global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or advanced degree with 2+ years of software engineering, product development, or product management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports 1 - 2 scrum teams focused on a common identity or capability.
• Responsible for building and grooming product backlog, including writing epics, features, and stories for shared understanding and execution.
• Writes and collects input for acceptance criteria at the user story level.
• Work in lockstep with software development teams, Scrum Masters, and delivery leaders to ensure priorities are clear, backlogs are executable, and messages to stakeholders are aligned.
• Partners closely with Architects, DevOps Engineers, Technical Component Owner, Technical Leads, Software Developers, Testers, Scrum Master, etc.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field

Advanced Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
