Job summary

MISO seeks a Product Owner II to shape the future of grid operations by owning a portfolio of operator and market-facing applications. You will align user needs with business objectives, guide solution design, and drive value through agile practices.

You will lead discovery, manage the backlog, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure product health and long-term success in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or related fields.
• Proven ability to shape and drive product vision and roadmaps.
• Strong servant leadership and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Agile software development concepts.
• Familiarity with applying AI tools in product management.
• Energy industry experience is a plus.
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager or PMI-ACP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive the product vision and roadmap by aligning user needs, business goals, and industry trends with long-term priorities.
• Lead discovery and collaborate with operators and SMEs to prioritize essential research.
• Serve as a product evangelist and align cross-functional teams around objectives and outcomes.
• Apply Agile practices to foster learning, adaptability, and user-centered thinking.
• Connect product decisions to workflows, outcomes, and strategic goals.
• Build business cases, maintain backlog, and lead release planning and communication across stakeholders.
• Identify insights from product metrics and use data to guide direction.
• Champion responsible use of AI to enhance product management and value delivery.
• Promote innovation to improve realtime communication, logging accuracy, and readiness.
