Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance is seeking a Product Owner for HR Technology in Boston. You will lead HR technology modernization, focusing on moving from a customized HRMS to a cloud-based HCM like Workday.

The role requires close collaboration with HR leaders, Technology, and partners to deliver clear priorities and practical platform solutions. The successful candidate will translate business needs into stories, acceptance criteria, and testing plans, while balancing standard HCM

Qualifications

5+ years in HR Technology or related enterprise tech roles.
Strong HR process knowledge and reporting needs.
Experience with Workday HCM; other major HCM platforms acceptable.
Translate business needs into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban delivery models.
Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Own and manage the product backlog for HR technology initiatives.
Document current and future-state processes with HR leaders.
Translate needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and test plans.
Support implementations with configuration reviews and data migration.
Coordinate UAT, defect triage, and release readiness activities.
Ensure solutions leverage standard HCM capabilities with minimal customizations.
Communicate priorities and risks clearly to stakeholders.
