We are looking for a highly proactive Product Owner to drive the development of our connectivity trading solutions. As a Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in shaping the vision and roadmap for our suite of gateway technical solutions designed for internal users. You will be responsible for managing the backlog of features, facilitating communication between teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, value-driven product increments.
Responsibilities:
- Understand how to best connect to the required market/exchange/broker.
- Determine the optimal approach for trading; describe technical requirements and key implementation considerations to the development team.
- Document requirements clearly for both traders and developers.
- Manage your own backlog, set priorities, and decide what should be done quickly versus thoroughly.
- Define observability and maintainability standards for developed integrations.
- Continuously research market connectivity trends and look for optimization opportunities.
- Participate in decisions regarding physical communication channels.
- Engage with exchange/broker representatives to clarify operational questions and assist support teams with trading incidents.
Qualifications:
Trading & Market Expertise:
- 5 years of experience in trading, focusing on exchange connectivity.
- Strong understanding of algorithmic trading and financial markets.
- Proven experience with IT trading systems and market connectivity software development.
- Knowledge of classic exchanges such as ICE, CME, Eurex, Euronext.
- Familiarity with binary protocols (ITCH/OUCH, SBE).
- Knowledge of FIX protocol is a plus.
- Experience in production support with traders is advantageous.
- Awareness of US/EU and Asian regulations is a plus.
Leadership & Management:
- At least 3 years of experience managing teams as a Team Lead, Manager, or Product Owner.
Technical Skills & Methodologies:
- Knowledge of C or Rust programming languages.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Soft Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical mindset focused on delivering business value.
- Effective prioritization and multitasking abilities.
Language Proficiency:
- C1 level English proficiency.
