Job Description
What You'll Do

The Product Professional is responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the team. They focus on delivering new products, driving innovation, and improving customer experience while prioritizing work to deliver value. They serve as a servant leader, coaching and mentoring team members, structuring work, and managing risks and issues.

How You'll Do It
  • Build and prioritize the product backlog to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Maintain key documentation such as customer journey maps, technical specs, and process maps.
  • Ensure product features and processes comply with Discover's regulatory, compliance, and risk standards. Articulate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, and validate product progress through iterations.
  • Lead Agile practices, including sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives. Keep the product backlog updated through regular meetings.
  • Define comprehensive product requirements, create and validate user story acceptance criteria, and execute testing frameworks. Collaborate with Data stewards to ensure data quality controls.
  • Partner with technology teams to develop technical features that optimize system components and infrastructure.
  • Manage project scope, deliverables, and timelines, and communicate effectively using visual tools like storyboards.
  • Contribute to product development and vision, focusing on delivering Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). Support go-to-market strategies with cross-functional teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and ownership within the product team.
  • Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional partners to evaluate, develop, and enhance products and programs.
Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or 6+ years of experience in product management or engineering in financial services or tech industry.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
  • Primarily stationary work in an indoor office setting. Ability to operate office equipment and communicate verbally and in writing.
Bonus Points If You Have
  • ACH Processing experience, Agile certifications (Scrum Master or Product Owner), customer service and payment processing experience, SQL query skills.

Additional Details

Remote work is eligible within the US. The application deadline is May 11, 2025. The salary range is $102,500 to $143,300, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and more.
