What We Need

Corpay is looking for a Product Owner to join our Corporate Payments division. In this role, you will own backlog priorities and delivery outcomes for a Scrum team, translating business goals and customer needs into clear, outcome-driven work. You will serve as the single accountable owner for intent translation — connecting strategy, customer problems, and execution in close partnership with Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.

How We Work

As a Product Owner you will be expected to work in a virtual environment.

Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

  • Formal, hands-on training
Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role will include:

Own Product Intent and Backlog

  • Translating business goals and customer needs into clear, actionable backlog items tied to defined outcomes and measurable value
  • Maintaining a well-prioritized, continuously refined backlog

Drive Delivery and Decisions

  • Serving as the final decision maker on scope, priorities, and trade-offs
  • Balancing short-term delivery with longer-term product outcomes
  • Ensuring delivered work meets intended business and customer outcomes

Lead Team Alignment

  • Aligning the team on priorities, scope, and expected outcomes across the delivery lifecycle
  • Facilitating mob sessions where engineers collaborate to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguity, and determine the right approach
  • Triaging bugs and feature requests, communicating clearly with stakeholders on scope and prioritization

Leverage Modern Tools and Practices

  • Using AI to improve story clarity, acceptance criteria, and delivery efficiency
  • Partnering with engineering to structure work for effective execution and validation through AI-assisted code generation
  • Bringing comfort and curiosity to an evolving AI-driven SDLC — this team is actively building with these tools

Partner Across Stakeholders

  • Aligning priorities across Product, Engineering, and Business partners
  • Managing expectations and trade-offs to maximize delivered value

Ensure Quality and Outcomes

  • Validating readiness for release in partnership with Engineering
  • Tracking progress against defined success measures and adjust as needed

Qualifications & Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Management, or similar delivery-focused role
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into structured, outcome-driven backlog items
  • Strong facilitation skills — comfortable leading engineers through requirements discussions and mob sessions
  • Active use of or genuine enthusiasm for AI tooling in a professional context (user story refinement, prompting, AI-assisted development)
  • Experience in AP Automation, Commercial Card, Expense Management, or API integrations is a significant plus
  • Must bring either strong PO/delivery expertise OR deep domain knowledge in FinTech/payments — ideally both
  • Medical, Dental & Vision benefits available the 1st month after hire
  • Automatic enrollment into our 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Virtual fitness classes offered company-wide
  • Robust PTO offerings including major holidays, vacation, sick, personal, and volunteer time
  • Employee discounts with major providers (wireless, gym, car rental, and more)
  • Philanthropic support with local and national organizations
  • Fun culture with company-wide contests and prizes
