Job summary

Qualco Group is seeking an experienced Product Owner to drive backlog ownership, product discovery, and sprint execution for digital financial products within our fintech ecosystem.

You will collaborate with Product & Technology Lead and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality web and mobile solutions with merchant integrations. Greek and English fluency is required.

Qualifications

  • BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience as Product Owner in fintech/banking or financial services.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum and sprint ceremonies with backlog tools (Jira).
  • Ability to write precise user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and collaborate with development teams.
  • Experience with APIs, integrations, or backend-driven workflows.
  • Experience with web and mobile products (iOS/Android) and collaborating with external UX/UI agencies.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and verbal.

  • Coordinate requirements and decisions across departments to unblock sprint entry.
  • Use data and user insights to drive measurable improvements in CX and platform efficiency.
  • Monitor progress and actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work with UX/UI designers and external partners to deliver high-quality fintech user experiences.
  • Provide regular reporting and clear communication to stakeholders throughout the project.

We are looking for an experiencedProduct Ownerto join our team. You will work directly with theProduct & Technology Leadand cross-functional stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operations. Your mission is to drive backlog ownership, product discovery, and sprint execution across the full build lifecycle, and progressively take over full backlog ownership for Phase 2 and Phase 3 expansion.

Responsibilities

As a Product Owner you will be responsible to:

  • Own and prioritise the product backlog, aligning business goals, customer value, and technical feasibility;
  • Write clear, well-structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with technical leads, ensuring stories are development-ready without further clarification;
  • Prioritise backlog items based on regulatory requirements, business value, technical dependencies, and go-to-market milestones;
  • Act as the primary functional point of contact between Product, Technology, and business stakeholders on a day-to-day basis;
  • Collaborate closely with developers, designers, QA, and operations teams to translate business needs into well-defined product increments;
  • Coordinate requirements and decisions across Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to ensure stories are complete and unblocked before sprint entry;
  • Use data and user insights to identify friction points and drive measurable improvements in customer experience and platform efficiency;
  • Monitor development progress and actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives;
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers and external partners to deliver a high-quality user experience aligned with modern fintech standards;
  • Provide regular reporting and clear communication to all relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
  • BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field;
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Product Owner, ideally in a fintech, banking, or financial services environment;
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and hands-on experience with sprint ceremonies and backlog tools (Jira or equivalent);
  • Ability to write precise user stories and acceptance criteria that are development-ready;
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and collaborate effectively with development teams;
  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, or backend-driven workflows;
  • Experience working on web and mobile products (iOS/Android native apps) and collaborating external UX/UI agencies and validating wireframes against functional requirements;
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills;
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and verbal.
The following will be considered as a plus:
  • CSPO / PSPO I/II certification from Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org;
  • Experience in lending, payments, BNPL, digital onboarding, or customer journey platforms;
  • Experience working on products involving merchant integrations or external partners.
