Job description

Chubb Benefits is seeking a Product Owner to lead technology transformation and business capability delivery that improves the experiences of policyholders, members, employers, and agents across our group insurance portfolio. As a dedicated Product Owner (PO), you will play a critical role in building and enhancing business capabilities that allow Chubb Benefits to compete in the market and deliver leading customer experiences.

The PO will partner with business owners and stakeholders across Chubb Benefits to successfully deliver from end to end — from defining requirements and designing solutions to articulating acceptance criteria and executing testing. This includes driving the product lifecycle across both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments, with flexibility to adapt based on program and initiative needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Product Owner (PO), you will play a critical role in leading technology transformation and building the business capabilities required to compete in the market and deliver leading customer experiences. You will serve as the primary bridge between business strategy and technical execution, owning the product roadmap and prioritizing the delivery of features that drive the highest business value.

The PO is accountable for the end-to-end product lifecycle — from initial discovery and requirement definition to solution design, acceptance criteria, and final testing. You will partner with business owners and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals, driving speed-to-market while maintaining a relentless focus on quality. This role requires the flexibility to operate effectively across both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, adapting your approach to meet the specific needs of the initiative and the organization's evolving digital-first operating model.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, including visioning, research & data gathering, planning, execution, and measurement; accountable for the quality of work product and overall outcomes produced by the multidisciplinary delivery teams throughout the lifecycle.
  • Develop, prioritize, and maintain the product roadmap and delivery team backlog to drive speed-to-market and business impact.
  • Articulate opportunities and design target journeys and solutions, balancing multi-disciplinary inputs and competing stakeholder priorities with achieving business outcomes.
  • Monitor dependencies and risks, and actively work with relevant stakeholders to mitigate or resolve.
  • Provide needs clarity, support solutioning & release planning, and collaborate in providing quality assurance during build and testing of product capabilities.
  • Facilitate product demos and launches, advocating and communicating value to users and stakeholders.
  • Measure and track performance of key metrics in line with OKRs; generate insights and feed back into the roadmap and delivery.
  • Scribe experience and process-focused user stories in alignment with the digital-first ways of working story writing and ownership model.
  • Continuously identify areas of opportunity for the delivery team and provide input into sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships and collaborate effectively on an ongoing basis with cross-functional stakeholders intra and inter domain.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Identify development needs and provide product mentorship and coaching to the delivery team.
  • Ability to provide hands‑on direction and day‑to‑day execution ownership in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant knowledge and understanding of business objectives to align with product vision.
  • Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically, with an empathic approach to understanding user needs and motivations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging with senior leadership.
  • Ability to effectively identify and manage the needs of a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and handle unexpected challenges that arise within projects, adapting quickly and effectively.
  • Strong self‑motivator with a contagious ability to spread energy to the team.
