Job description

Our partner is a nationally recognized healthcare organization expanding the use of conversational AI to support patients across scheduling and call center interactions. Existing voice AI capabilities are already helping patients complete healthcare tasks, and the next stage is focused on improving those experiences while identifying where AI can meaningfully support additional workflows.

They are looking for a hands‑on Product Owner who can independently uncover problems, analyze conversation and operational data, and determine what should be improved or built next. You will investigate why conversations fail, why patients transfer to human agents, and where simpler workflows could improve the patient experience while balancing customer need, business value, call volume, complexity, and engineering effort.

This role is ideal for a curious product thinker who challenges unnecessary requirements, translates complex conversations and business processes into clear workflows, and stays involved from discovery through production and post‑launch measurement. Success means owning what should be built, why it matters, and whether it actually improved the experience.

Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, digital products, or technical product delivery
  • Proven experience independently identifying product opportunities and making prioritization or roadmap decisions
  • Experience analyzing customer behavior, product performance, or operational data to identify problems and improvement opportunities
  • Strong experience translating complex customer conversations or business processes into workflows, decision paths, exceptions, and requirements
  • Hands‑on experience taking customer‑facing capabilities through requirements, testing, production launch, measurement, and continuous improvement
  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering to evaluate feasibility, dependencies, technical tradeoffs, and delivery options
  • Familiarity with conversational AI, voice technology, contact centers, healthcare, or similarly complex customer‑facing environments is highly valuable

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Own product direction and continuous improvement for patient‑facing conversational AI and call center workflows
  • Analyze conversation patterns, call performance, patient behavior, containment, transfers, abandonment, and other product metrics to identify improvement opportunities
  • Investigate why AI conversations fail or create friction and determine the underlying customer, workflow, or product issue
  • Review representative conversations to validate patterns and understand the patient experience behind the data
  • Identify and prioritize new workflows based on patient need, business value, call volume, complexity, and engineering effort
  • Learn existing operational processes by partnering directly with call center specialists and business teams
  • Translate complex conversations and business processes into clear workflows, decision paths, exceptions, and human handoffs
  • Challenge and simplify requirements that introduce unnecessary complexity or customer friction
  • Define expected product behavior, requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes
