Job summary

Vercel in San Francisco seeks a communications leader to own external product storytelling across the Agent Stack, Core Platform, and OSS portfolio. Translate product ships into narratives for developers, press, and the market.

You’ll work with leadership, Product, DX Engineering, and Content Engineering to land the right context at the right moment. This role reports to the Head of Communications from the SF office, and will shape thought leadership and community engagement for Next.js, v0, and

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in communications, PR, or product marketing.
• Strong writer and storyteller who translates technical work into developer-focused narratives.
• Comfortable working with engineers, PMs, and technical leadership to pull stories out of people.

Responsibilities

• Own external comms for product announcements and updates across the Agent Stack and Core Platform.
• Oversee communications for Vercel's OSS portfolio and developer-focused projects.
• Build thought leadership narratives that position how products fit into the infrastructure and framework landscape.
• Develop owned content, social content, and campaigns in partnership with Content Engineering.
• Engage with open source communities and amplify contributor stories and moments.
• Partner with DX Engineering's community team on programming and conference participation.
• Elevate public thought leadership profiles of Vercel's leadership and maintainers.
