Job summary

Xcel Energy Services Inc. seeks a detail-oriented professional to perform operational activities for customer products, including rebates and demand response programs.

You will process applications, review data for accuracy, and support multiple internal teams to ensure timely work and high-quality service. Responsibilities include handling inquiries, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to process improvements while maintaining strong customer focus and teamwork in a non-bargaining

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend technical aspects of products is required.
  • Demonstrated job performance and good verbal and written skills required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
  • Experience in customer service or operations-related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of Xcel Energy processes and systems is preferred.
  • 10-key typing ability is preferred.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills are strongly preferred.
  • Must be customer focused, self-motivated, results and team oriented, and flexible.

Responsibilities

  • Process applications for customer products on a timely basis and enter data into systems of record.
  • Utilize critical thinking, analysis, and technical understanding to ensure information is complete and accurate.
  • Perform peer reviews for quality control purposes.
  • Provide backup support for products during high activity periods to ensure timely processing.
  • Identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and settle disputes regarding program participation, bills, and related matters.
  • Coordinate resolution with the customer and other stakeholders such as third-party contractors.
  • Provide support for vendor management, invoice management, inventory management, maintenance, and technology development.
  • Coordinate with Product Operations leadership and product managers to meet deadlines.
  • Identify and recommend process and system changes to improve operations and customer service.
  • Provide training and communication as needed.
  • Support other internal teams for escalated issues and special projects.

Position Summary

Perform operational activities related to customer products to ensure accurate and timely processing of work. Customer products supported by this position may include but are not limited to: energy efficiency rebates, demand management/demand response products, clean transportation / electric vehicle products, and interconnections for renewables or other distributed energy resources (DERs).

Essential Responsibilities
  • Process applications and for customer products on a timely basis including review and entry of into systems of record for all customer segments.
  • Utilize critical thinking, analysis, and technical understanding to assure that all information is complete and accurate.
  • Perform peer reviews for quality control purposes.
  • Provide back up support for numerous products during periods of high activity to ensure timely processing of work.
  • Identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and settle customer disputes regarding program participation, work status, bill adjustments and/or property damage related to Xcel Energy’s programs.
  • Coordinate resolution with the customer and other stakeholders such as third‑party contractors.
  • Provide support for other operational activities such as vendor management, invoice management, inventory management, maintenance support, and technology development.
  • Coordinate closely with Product Operations leadership and product managers to complete on a timely basis.
  • Identify and recommend process and system changes to improve operations and customer service for the products the team supports.
  • Provide supporting training and communication as needed.
  • Support other internal teams as necessary for escalated issues (e.g., bill corrections, control days for demand response, expedited engineering and metering requests).
  • This includes communicating with internal departments on escalated issues and requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend technical aspects of products is required.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $22.40 to $31.40 per hour
