HuCapital, a NYC-based AI-powered startup, is seeking a Product Operations and QA Fellow to help keep our product development running smoothly.

Over three months you will work with engineers, data engineers, UX researchers and product designers to manage tickets, support QA, synthesize user feedback, and build workflow automations.

This role suits organized, curious, detail-oriented individuals who communicate clearly, collaborate across teams, and thrive in a remote-friendly environment.

About the Role

The Product Operations and QA Fellow is an opportunity for someone who is equally comfortable in a spreadsheet and a strategy conversation. Over three months, you will work alongside our Head of Innovation and a cross-functional team of engineers, data engineers, UX researchers, and product designers to help keep our product development running smoothly and intentionally.This role is ideal for someone who is organized, curious, and genuinely excited about how technology, community, and AI intersect. You will be close to the work that shapes the platform, giving you a front-row seat to what it looks like to build and ship a tech product from the inside.

What You'll Do

• Manage Tickets and Technical Projects: Own the day-to-day tracking of product tickets and technical tasks across the team. Keep projects organized, moving, and visible to the right people at the right time.
• Support Quality Assurance: Test new features and platform updates before they go live, document bugs and unexpected behavior, and communicate findings clearly to the engineering team. You will play a direct role in ensuring what ships reflects the standard the product team intended.
• Support Product Strategy and Research: Participate in product strategy conversations, assist with research initiatives, and help synthesize findings that inform what gets built and why.
• Track and Synthesize User Feedback: Collect, organize, and summarize feedback from users and community members. Identify patterns and surface insights that help the team make better product decisions.
• Build and Maintain Workflow Automations: Set up and manage automations across tools like Notion and Slack to reduce friction, improve team communication, and keep processes running efficiently.
• Keep Documentation Current: Maintain clear, up-to-date records of product decisions, project statuses, research findings, and team workflows so nothing falls through the cracks.
• Collaborate Across the Tech Team: Work closely with engineers, data engineers, UX researchers, and product designers to understand what each team needs and help coordinate across workstreams.
• Contribute to Meetings and Standups: Show up prepared, take notes, follow up on action items, and help the team stay aligned and accountable.

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree, bootcamp, or self-directed study in Product Management, Operations, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple moving pieces without losing track of the details.
• Comfortable working in tools like Notion, Slack, and project management platforms. Experience setting up automations or workflows is a plus.
• A clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal, who can translate technical conversations into organized documentation.
• Curious and analytical, with an interest in how products are built, how users behave, and how feedback shapes decisions.
• Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for inconsistencies, bugs, and anything that does not feel quite right in a product experience.
• Comfortable working remotely, independently, and delivering under a deadline.
• Bonus: You have an interest in AI, community platforms, social technology, or early-stage startups.
