Job summary

Abstract in New York is seeking a Product Operations Analyst to own end-to-end delivery of Abstract Workers—AI agents that automate workflows for legal, government affairs, tax, and compliance teams. You’ll lead discovery, manage the build pipeline in Linear, and ensure reliable data flows with engineers.

You’ll test with real data, articulate tradeoffs, and help grow early customers into multi-Worker accounts, while prioritizing scope with the AE team for realistic commitments.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years professional experience with fast learning and comfort in ambiguity.
  • Strong people skills and ability to explain technical concepts in plain English.
  • Comfort with APIs, databases, and basic data flows.
  • Project management instincts and ability to flag blockers early.
  • Bias toward action and ownership from discovery to resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery calls to surface painful workflows and synthesize them into clean, buildable Workers.
  • Own the build pipeline in Linear — break down scope, flag dependencies with engineering, and update customers weekly.
  • Talk credibly with engineers about connectors, data pipelines, and reliability — and translate build tradeoffs for customers.
  • Test every Worker before go-live with the customer’s real data — catch hallucinations, broken links, and malformed output.
  • Build customer confidence by explaining the gates, source‑tracing, and human controls behind every Worker.
  • Spot the next Worker after the first one lands and grow early customers into multi‑Worker accounts.
  • Help the account executive (AE) team prioritize scopes — quick wins versus complex builds — so the team never overcommits

Job description

Product Operations Analyst

Own end-to-end delivery of Abstract Workers — AI agents that automate workflows for legal, government affairs, tax, and compliance teams. Discovery to launch.

What you’ll do
  • Lead discovery calls to surface painful workflows and synthesize them into clean, buildable Workers
  • Own the build pipeline in Linear — break down scope, flag dependencies with engineering, and update customers weekly
  • Talk credibly with engineers about connectors, data pipelines, and reliability — and translate build tradeoffs for customers
  • Test every Worker before go-live with the customer’s real data — catch hallucinations, broken links, and malformed output
  • Build customer confidence by explaining the gates, source‑tracing, and human controls behind every Worker
  • Spot the next Worker after the first one lands and grow early customers into multi‑Worker accounts
  • Help the account executive (AE) team prioritize scopes — quick wins versus complex builds — so the team never overcommits
What we’re looking for
  • 2–5 years professional experience with fast learning and comfort in ambiguity
  • Strong people skills — thoughtful questions, active listening, plain‑English technical explanations
  • Comfort with APIs, databases, and basic data flows
  • Project management instincts — systems, checklists, early blocker flags, closed loops
  • Bias toward action without perfect information
  • Ownership mentality from problem discovery through resolution
Nice to have
  • Experience in government affairs, legal, compliance, policy, or regulatory roles
  • Prior customer success, implementation, or solutions engineering experience at a B2B SaaS company
  • Familiarity with AI/ML products or agents — even as a heavy user of Claude or ChatGPT
  • Experience managing projects in Linear, Jira, or Asana
Compensation

  • Autonomy — you own the customer implementation pipeline, no micromanagement
