Job summary

Faction is seeking a systems-minded SWE to build autonomous AI agents that automate critical supply chain decisions for multibillion-dollar industrial customers. You will work directly with the founders to craft software that drives orders, quotes, and inventory optimization without human intervention.

The role emphasizes deep integration with ERPs, CRMs, inboxes, and phone systems used by distributors, plus a core stack of Next.js, TS, Python (FastAPI), and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Experience with Next.js, TS, Python (FastAPI), PostgreSQL – our core stack.
• Familiarity with C# for working with legacy enterprise SDKs.
• You've racked up thousands of hours in combined LLM usage and productizing, with deep knowledge of LLM research, agents, tool calling, robustness.
• We hire on trajectory, not resume length.

We're looking for a high-trajectory SWE to build the AI agents that will automate how $2T of industrial goods move through the supply chain. Our AI agents don't have users - you don't upend an industry's business model with human-in-the-loop copilots. You'll work directly with the founders to build autonomous systems for the core functions of $Xbn+ industrial customers.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

A systems-minded engineer who wants to build software that runs real businesses. Specifically:

• Experience with Next.js, TS, Python (FastAPI), PostgreSQL - our core stack

• Familiarity with C# is a plus for working with legacy enterprise SDKs

• You've racked up 1000s of hours in combined LLM usage and productizing - you have a deep familiarity with them, and deep knowledge of LLM research, agents, tool calling, robustness
