Job summary

Server Products Inc in Wisconsin is seeking a Product Engineer to design and redesign consumer-focused food service products, balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability.

You will review customer specs, ensure safety certifications, lead cross-functional projects, and mentor teammates while advancing new products to market.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably with new product development.
• Experience in 3D CAD Modeling and design for manufacturability.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, design reviews, and tolerance stack-ups.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Customer-focused with problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design new products and redesign existing products within cost and safety standards.
• Review and interpret customer specifications and requests.
• Ensure conformance to safety certifications (UL, NSF, CE) and quality standards.
• Develop future-forward products aligned with company goals.
• Manage projects from start to finish and report to leadership.
• Create product models and layouts in CAD systems.
• Review drawings for critical dimensions and specifications.
• Assist in developing solutions for product development, manufacturing, and support.
• Evaluate components for certifications and specifications.
• Assist in training team members to meet standards.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $115,000.00 Annually

This team member is highly skilled in planning and organization, critical thinking, decision-making, and influencing others at Server Products to understand and meet the required engineering needs.

Responsibilities

• Design new products and redesign existing products, meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost constraints


• Review and interpret customer specifications and requests


• Ensure conformance to all required safety certifications (ie, UL, NSF, CE), and company standards for quality and manufacturability


• Utilizes future-forward thinking with the company’s goals in mind when developing new products


• Manages their project(s) from start to finish while providing updates to leadership


• Create product models and design layouts in the computerized system


• Review drawings for critical dimensions, views, and specifications when required


• Assist in developing timely solutions to product development, manufacturing floor, and technical support questions


• Evaluate/select components for products based on the appropriate specifications and certifications


• Assist in training team members to meet established standards

Requirements

• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably with new product development


• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to customers’ sites


• Experience in 3D CAD Modeling


• Strong knowledge of engineering and quality methodologies (DFMEA, Design Reviews, Tolerance Stack-Ups)


• Proven leadership skills


• Strong problem-solving skills


• Professional attitude when approaching work assignments


• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks
