Job summary

Server Products is seeking a Product Engineer to balance design speed with cost, manufacturability, and quality. You will lead design efforts, review customer specs, and ensure compliance with UL/NSF/CE standards, while guiding projects from concept to launch.

You will create CAD models, evaluate components, and mentor teammates to uphold high standards. Occasional travel to customer sites is required as part of product development and support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably with new product development.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Experience in 3D CAD modeling.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, design reviews, tolerances stack-ups.
• Leadership experience.
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and redesign products meeting standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost constraints.
• Review and interpret customer specifications and requests.
• Ensure conformance to safety certifications (UL, NSF, CE) and company quality standards.
• Develop future-forward products aligned with company goals.
• Manage projects from start to finish with updates to leadership.
• Create product models and layouts in the CAD system.
• Review drawings for critical dimensions, views, and specifications.
• Assist in solving product development, manufacturing, and technical support questions.
• Evaluate/select components per specs and certifications.
• Train team members to meet established standards.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $115,000.00 Annually

Responsibilities

• Design new products and redesign existing products, meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost constraints
• Review and interpret customer specifications and requests
• Ensure conformance to all required safety certifications (ie, UL, NSF, CE), and company standards for quality and manufacturability
• Utilizes future-forward thinking with the company’s goals in mind when developing new products
• Manages their project(s) from start to finish while providing updates to leadership
• Create product models and design layouts in the computerized system
• Review drawings for critical dimensions, views, and specifications when required
• Assist in developing timely solutions to product development, manufacturing floor, and technical support questions
• Evaluate/select components for products based on the appropriate specifications and certifications
• Assist in training team members to meet established standards

Requirements

• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably with new product development
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to customers’ sites
• Experience in 3D CAD Modeling
• Strong knowledge of engineering and quality methodologies (DFMEA, Design Reviews, Tolerances Stack-Ups)
