Server Products Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer to balance innovative design with manufacturability and cost considerations. You will plan and lead projects, create CAD models, review specifications, and ensure compliance with safety certifications across multiple products.

The role emphasizes strong problem solving, effective leadership, and the ability to manage several priorities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring high-quality products to market.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably with new product development.
• Experience in planning and leading cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering and quality methodologies (DFMEA, Design Reviews, Tolerance Stack-Ups).
• Ability to travel up to 10% to customer sites.
• Professional attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design new products and redesign existing products within cost and quality constraints.
• Review customer specifications and requests.
• Ensure conformance to safety certifications (UL, NSF, CE) and company standards.
• Develop future-forward product concepts aligning with company goals.
• Manage projects from start to finish and provide leadership updates.
• Create product models and layouts in CAD systems.
• Review drawings for critical dimensions and specifications.
• Assist in solving product development, manufacturing, and technical support questions.
• Evaluate components based on specifications and certifications.
• Assist in training team members to meet standards.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $115,000.00 Annually

The Product Engineer strives to balance superior design and speed to market with cost, manufacturability, and the highest-quality products always top of mind. This team member is highly skilled in planning and organization, critical thinking, decision-making, and influencing others at Server Products to understand and meet the required engineering needs.

Responsibilities

• Design new products and redesign existing products, meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost constraints


• Review and interpret customer specifications and requests


• Ensure conformance to all required safety certifications (ie, UL, NSF, CE), and company standards for quality and manufacturability


• Utilizes future-forward thinking with the company’s goals in mind when developing new products


• Manages their project(s) from start to finish while providing updates to leadership


• Create product models and design layouts in the computerized system


• Review drawings for critical dimensions, views, and specifications when required


• Assist in developing timely solutions to product development, manufacturing floor, and technical support questions


• Evaluate/select components for products based on the appropriate specifications and certifications


• Assist in training team members to meet established standards

Requirements

• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably with new product development


• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to customers’ sites


• Experience in 3D CAD Modeling


• Strong knowledge of engineering and quality methodologies (DFMEA, Design Reviews, Tolerance Stack-Ups)
