Overview

Biolyst Scientific is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Product & Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. This cross-functional role supports both Azer Scientific and Electron Microscopy Sciences portfolios—two industry-recognized brands in clinical diagnostics, histology, and electron microscopy.

This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives at the intersection of product data, marketing strategy, and technical product knowledge, particularly with experience or interest in microscopy workflows, imaging, or electron microscopy products. The successful candidate will support new product launches, optimize content for digital platforms, contribute to lead generation campaigns, and assist in building strong relationships with both internal teams and external distribution partners.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management & Data Coordination

  • Maintain and update product information, technical specs, and documentation for both internal systems and external customer portals.
  • Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the ERP system (NetSuite) for both new and existing product lines.
  • Assist with regulatory-compliant label development and packaging coordination.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Quality to support product development and technical enhancements—especially for microscopy and life science tools.
  • Ensure product content and digital assets are accurate and up-to-date across all platforms.

Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Support integrated marketing campaigns across digital (email, SEO, paid search) and traditional channels to drive awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Help plan and execute content for lead generation funnels—product landing pages, gated content, and targeted campaigns focused on key verticals like microscopy, histology, and clinical pathology.
  • Track campaign results and contribute to reporting dashboards.

eCommerce & Distributor Content Support

  • Organize and maintain product data feeds, images, and marketing assets for distribution partners and marketplaces.
  • Provide product descriptions, technical sheets, images, and regulatory documents as needed to key resellers and eCommerce partners.
  • Ensure product listings are optimized for both discoverability and accuracy, especially in high-traffic microscopy and laboratory supply categories.

Trade Show & Event Support

  • Assist with logistics, booth setup, and marketing materials for key trade shows and scientific conferences.
  • Collect lead data, help with post-event follow-up, and provide feedback for continuous improvement of event ROI.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct market research to support product positioning and commercial strategy.
  • Monitor trends and competitors in microscopy, imaging, clinical laboratory diagnostics, and life sciences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a product marketing, product management, or marketing support role.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and BOMs preferred.
  • Experience working with eCommerce platforms, digital asset management tools, or content syndication to resellers.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest or background in microscopy, imaging workflows, or electron microscopy products is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the life sciences, diagnostics, or microscopy industries.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing tools, content management systems, and label creation software (e.g., NiceLabel).
  • Previous involvement in managing product catalogs and marketing materials for distribution partners.
  • Familiarity with microscopy terminology, sample preparation techniques, or product categories used in research imaging or EM workflows.
