Job description

Iteris is seeking a talented and experienced Product Marketing Manager to join our team, focusing on our sensor products that help transportation professionals at agencies support mobility on the roadways and in communities. A particular focus in this role will be on Vantage PedSafe, a proactive safety system that enhances pedestrian safety at signalized intersections and midblock crossings. It uses radar to detect pedestrians in crosswalks can activate critical safety countermeasures. The Product Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in developing and executing marketing strategies to drive awareness, demand, and adoption of Iteris products in the transportation industry.



This position is remote however, if the incumbent lives within a commutable distance from either our Austin, TX or Santa Ana, CA offices, the schedule will be hybrid.



What you will be doing:




  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape

  • Define and articulate clear value propositions for Iteris sensors, highlighting their unique features and benefits

  • Develop positioning and messaging strategies to effectively communicate the value of the products to target audiences

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and marketing peers, to develop comprehensive go-to-market plans

  • Drive product launches, ensuring successful execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives to generate demand and drive adoption

  • Develop sales enablement materials, such as sales presentations, product collateral, and competitive battlecards, to support the sales team

  • Create compelling marketing content, including website copy, blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, webinars and videos, to educate and engage prospects and customers

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop thought leadership content and industry insights related to transportation

  • Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to generate leads with a waterfall model and nurture prospects throughout the sales funnel

  • Utilize digital marketing tactics, such as email marketing, social media, SEO, SEM, and content syndication, to drive traffic and conversions

  • Measure and analyze campaign performance, optimizing strategies based on key performance indicators and insights

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners (re-sellers) and key stakeholders to gather feedback, understand use cases, and identify opportunities for product enhancements

  • Cultivate a community of advocates and champions, leveraging customer testimonials, case studies, and success stories



What you need to be successful in this role:




  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus

  • Over five (5) years of experience in product marketing or related roles, preferably in the technology or transportation industry

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies and campaigns

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to make informed decisions and optimize marketing performance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences

  • Highly collaborative with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Passion for innovation, technology, and making a positive impact in the transportation industry



Iteris anticipates paying between $123,300 and $137,300 for this role. However, actual pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
