Job description

Overview

A Day in the Life

Your day begins with responding to a few emails and catching up on the latest cybersecurity news. You review requests for content support for local marketing events, create the piece, and send it off for translation. You then join meetings to review product status, update the product launch plan, adjust messaging and use case coverage, and begin building launch deliverables, request resources, and set deadlines. You collaborate with the Creative and Web teams to review a revamped webpage designed to reinforce the product’s competitive differentiators and plan copy and graphics together. After lunch, you continue with training content for the field team and partners, focusing on positioning the upcoming release, the use cases covered by the new features, and how the features differentiate the product from the competition. You check in with the Sales Engineering Lead to get feedback on positioning and value demonstration challenges, update materials, and note changes to the demo story. You finish the day by preparing slides with key status updates and action items for an upcoming release to share in the weekly product launch meeting.

Position Responsibilities
  • Devise messaging and content strategy in collaboration with Product Management that will drive sales success and product line growth.
  • Write and develop all forms of marketing content as prioritized by content maps – including web copy, eBooks, video scripts, infographics, buyer’s guides, display ads, landing page copy, interactive online tools, competitive battle cards, blog posts, product collateral, sales pitch decks, partner news articles, and more.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that eloquently conveys our value proposition and differentiates our products in global markets
  • Effectively communicate compelling product stories to the sales team, partners, and clients. Deliver necessary training, presentations, and demos to ensure they understand our value.
  • Plan and manage the launch of new products and releases while managing the cross-functional implementation of the launch plan
  • Work with global teams by flexing from traditional 8 to 5 work hours to cross over time zones as needed
Experience
  • 10 years of B2B product marketing experience
  • 5+ years of B2B product marketing for a cybersecurity company
  • Experience working for or marketing to IT Security professionals and Managed Service Providers
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Bachelor’s in business/marketing or equivalent experience
Bonus Points
  • Experience in endpoint, SASE, Identity, MDR, or NetSec cybersecurity product marketing
  • Advanced degree or certifications in business, marketing, or a technical field
Compensation

The base salary range is $120,000-$130,000 per year for full-time employment, exclusive of benefits. This position is also eligible for a bonus of 5% of the base salary.
