Job Title: Product Marketing Budget Associate Manager

Role Summary The Product Marketing Budget Associate Manager leads day-to-day financial operations and budget governance for the Applications Product Marketing team. This role bridges marketing strategy and financial execution, ensuring optimal resource allocation, accurate forecasting, and seamless procurement. You will serve as the core operational partner to Product Marketing Managers (PMMs), Finance, and Procurement, driving fiscal discipline while streamlining cross-functional workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budget Management & Forecasting Own end-to-end budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting for the Applications Product Marketing organization. Monitor real-time spend against planned targets, proactively identifying variances, risks, and re-allocation opportunities. Lead annual and quarterly financial planning cycles by developing models, consolidating team inputs, and preparing decision-ready templates.

  • Procurement & Workflow Execution Direct the lifecycle of Purchase/Invoice Requests (PIRs), working directly with PMMs to ensure timely submission and swift approval routing. Actively track and unblock stalled PIRs, vendor contracts, purchase orders, and invoices to prevent project delays or budget forfeit. Perform monthly financial reconciliations in partnership with Finance to maintain accurate accruals and ledger integrity.

Continuously audit and optimize budget tracking systems, tools, and workflows to improve operational efficiency. Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for financial requests to train and onboard team members on procurement protocols.

  • Cross-Functional & Project Support Serve as the primary liaison between Marketing, Finance, and Procurement to resolve discrepancies and align spend with strategic priorities. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and lightweight project management support for broader marketing initiatives as capacity allows.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in marketing operations, financial analysis, budget management, or business operations.

  • Financial Literacy: Proven capability in managing large operational budgets, variance analysis, purchase order lifecycles, and forecasting.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (vlookups, pivot tables, financial modeling); experience with enterprise procurement/ERP software (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Oracle, Anaplan) and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) is a plus.

  • Core Competencies: Strong cross-functional coordination, assertive problem-solving, high attention to detail, and clear executive communication skills.

  • Bonus: Project management experience (Agile, Asana, Monday.com) or familiarity with product marketing organization structures.
