Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a hands-on financial operations lead for the Applications Product Marketing team in Atlanta. You will own end-to-end budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting, and steer monthly reconciliations with Finance to ensure ledger integrity.

You will collaborate across Marketing, Finance, and Procurement to align spend with strategic priorities, manage PO lifecycles, and develop decision-ready templates for planning cycles.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing operations, financial analysis, budget management, or business operations.
  • Proven capability in managing large operational budgets, variance analysis, PO lifecycles, and forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Experience with enterprise procurement/ERP software such as SAP, Coupa, Oracle, or Anaplan is a plus.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
  • Strong cross-functional coordination, assertive problem-solving, high attention to detail, and clear executive communication skills.
  • Project management experience with Agile, Asana, or Monday.com is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with product marketing organization structures is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day financial operations and budget governance for the Applications Product Marketing team.
  • Own end-to-end budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Monitor real-time spend against planned targets and identify variances, risks, and re-allocation opportunities.
  • Lead annual and quarterly financial planning cycles by developing models, consolidating team inputs, and preparing decision-ready templates.
  • Direct the lifecycle of Purchase/Invoice Requests and ensure timely submission and approval routing.
  • Track and unblock stalled PIRs, vendor contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Perform monthly financial reconciliations with Finance to maintain accurate accruals and ledger integrity.
  • Build and maintain dynamic dashboards and executive reports.
  • Audit and optimize budget tracking systems, tools, and workflows.
  • Establish standard operating procedures for financial requests and train and onboard team members on procurement protocols.
  • Liaise between Marketing, Finance, and Procurement to resolve discrepancies and align spend with strategic priorities.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and lightweight project management support for broader marketing initiatives.
