Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive end-to-end lifecycle from strategy to commercialization across our market-leading life sciences portfolios. You will partner with R&D, operations, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional teams in a global matrix organization to deliver value.

Responsibilities include voice-of-customer research, defining product requirements, developing business cases, coordinating launches, and implementing continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • MS/PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of flow cytometry experience including spectral flow or cell sorting.
  • Hands-on use of flow cytometers/cell sorters in research or biotech environments.
  • Experience in product management, marketing, scientific applications or technical sales within life sciences.
  • Strong multicolor panel design, fluorophore selection, compensation, spectral unmixing.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into product requirements and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with scientific customers.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred) in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related life science discipline
  • Proven success in product lifecycle management, from concept through commercialization
  • 5+ years of experience in flow cytometry, with demonstrated expertise in spectral flow cytometry, conventional flow cytometry, or cell sorting
  • Hands-on experience operating flow cytometers and/or cell sorters in research, core laboratory, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environments
  • Experience with product management, marketing, scientific applications, field applications, technical sales, or commercial support within the life sciences industry
  • Strong understanding of multicolor panel design, fluorophore selection, compensation, spectral unmixing, and experimental workflow optimization
  • Proven ability to translate customer needs into product requirements and commercial strategies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience engaging scientific customers, key opinion leaders, and commercial teams
  • Experience developing and executing product launch strategies and go-to-market plans
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project management skills to coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Customer-centric mindset with deep understanding of market dynamics
  • Up to 30% travel required, including international
  • Knowledge of relevant scientific/technical domain preferred for specific product lines
  • Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements for applicable markets
